Nishi-no-hama

Nishi-no-hama on Kuroshima's north-west shore, near the port, is the island's sunset beach and a sea turtle nesting site from April to about October.

Nishi-no-hama lies close to the port on the north-west side, and it catches the sunset across the water. Sea turtles come ashore to lay eggs here from April to about October, and the Kuroshima Research Institute studies them.
It has no facilities and no lifeguards, so treat it as a walk and a place to sit at the end of the day before the last boat.
