Uken is Uruma's managed town beach on the mainland side, and the Kaichu Doro is a short drive away. Lifeguards watch the water during the posted hours in season, and the facility runs BBQ plans for groups, from a simple equipment hire to a covered pavilion. Its car park holds 212 cars.
After October the beach switches to winter hours, 9:00 to 17:30, and keeps serving BBQ groups. Fukaki Soba makes additive-free Okinawa soba in the same Uken district.
