Sumamunutarama is a souvenir shop and lunch counter in Shiokawa village on Tarama island, the easiest lunch for a day trip from Miyako.
Sumamunutarama sells island products, and its lunch counter serves a curry that reviewers from 2025 and September 2026 praise. Tarama is known for its brown sugar, and the shop is the place to buy it. One September 2026 visitor took the morning ferry from Hirara on a whim and ate here before the boat home. Take the village bus from Futenma port and get off at Yume Patio Tarama.
