Tour de Nippon's Cycle Ball series awards a virtual ball for riding a famous loop, checked in at each spot through the TraVelo app, and Okinawa got its own winter extra stage in season 6. You could start any day you liked from the Okinawa Prefectural Sports Hall in Onoyama, Naha, or from e-CHARIty's shop on Kokusai-dori, and pick a loop of the whole island or a shorter course. For riders who wanted company, a supported four-day group loop in February carried the bags.
There are no marshals or feed stations on the self-guided courses, and the organizer warns that water stops can be far apart. Season 7, which runs from April 2026 to January 2027, lists other regions, so check the Tour de Nippon site for any Okinawa stage before you plan around it.
