The NAHA Marathon runs 42.195 km from central Naha through the southern towns of Haebaru, Yaese, Itoman and Tomigusuku by way of the Peace Memorial Park. The 40th race is on Sunday 6 December 2026, with 30,000 places and a limit of 6 hours 15 minutes.
The 40th NAHA Marathon starts at 9:00 on Route 58 by Onoyama Park and closes at the Onoyama athletics stadium at 15:15. Runners pass the first checkpoint inside the Peace Memorial Park at 21.3 km by 12:15 and the second at 34.3 km by 14:10. The race has 30,000 places, and 2,500 of them go to hometown-tax donors in the five towns on the course.
Race day shuts a long stretch of road across the south. In 2025 the start section on Route 58 closed from about 8:15 to 10:00, and Route 507 between the Nakaima and Tsukayama Minami crossings closed completely while runners passed. Ride north that Sunday, or save the southern loop for the Saturday.
