The Okinawa Marathon is a full marathon and 10 km road race from the Okinawa Prefectural Sports Park in Okinawa City. The 31st race comes back on Sunday 21 February 2027 after the organisers paused the February 2026 race.

The organisers paused the February 2026 race and spent the year rebuilding how the event is run, then confirmed the 31st race on 21 July 2026. It goes ahead rain or shine on Sunday 21 February 2027 from the Okinawa Prefectural Sports Park (沖縄県総合運動公園) in Hiyagon, Okinawa City. The full marathon starts at 9:00 with 6 hours 15 minutes and checkpoints every 5 km, and the 10 km starts at 9:40 with 80 minutes.
The full marathon takes 13,500 runners and the 10 km takes 3,000. Entry runs from 1 August to 13 December 2026 or until the race fills, at ¥10,000 for the full (¥8,000 for high-school students and runners 65 or older) and ¥6,500 for the 10 km. Paid shuttle buses leave Naha at 6:00 on race morning for ¥2,000 one way or ¥3,500 return, booked ahead.
The race lands in the middle of a February trip. From 8:00 the road from the park's central gate toward Awase is closed, so keep rides in central Okinawa away from the course that Sunday.
