Ryukyu Kaiensai is a show of about 10,000 fireworks set to music over Ginowan Tropical Beach, which its organisers bill as the earliest big summer fireworks in Japan. The 2026 show was on Saturday 11 April from 19:00.

Gates opened at 15:00 for a 19:00 start in 2026. Tickets come in adult (12 and over) and youth (6 to 11) grades, and children under 6 get into the free area at no charge. The show goes ahead in rain. Bad weather or high waves that stop the crew setting up or firing cancel it, and there is no backup day.
