Tonaki Port is the harbour on Tonaki-jima, where Kume Shosen's morning ferry from Tomari Port in Naha arrives after 1 hour 55 minutes and the one from Kume-jima after 1 hour 20 minutes. From November to March those are the only calls, once a day in each direction, so a winter visit means at least one night on the island.
The ferry ties up at Tonaki for about 15 minutes, and Kume Shosen won't let passengers step off and back on. Coming from Naha you land at 10:55, and the next boat back to Naha calls at 10:35 the following morning. Kume Shosen's FAQ says a same-day return to Tonaki works on Fridays from April to October, and during dock periods when boats call in both directions.
Tonaki Village lists a restaurant called Terminal Shokudo inside the ferry terminal near the village office. A married couple serves lunch there from 10:30 to 13:00 and opens it again as an izakaya from 17:00 to 22:00, and it closes on irregular days.
