Charlie's Tacos on Koza's Park Avenue has served tacos for more than 50 years, and Okinawa City calls it the island's first taco specialist. It opens 11:00 to 21:00 and closes on Thursdays, except public holidays.

The soft-shell tacos come with a choice of beef, chicken or tuna, and the house Charlie sauce, sweet and spicy, goes on everything. Charlie Rice is the shop's taco rice, poured with the same sauce. The room keeps the look of 1980s Koza, which Okinawa City's tourism portal treats as part of the meal.
