Maruyoshi sits beside the Taragawa distillery at the Sunagawa (Uruka) junction on Route 390, the main road along the south coast. Reviewers from August and September 2026 describe a garlic-forward broth with large tebichi, and a queue that starts an hour before the 10:30 opening. Locals and visitors share the tatami platforms and the terrace. It is the classic lunch on a south-coast loop, so plan to arrive at opening or after one.
What to order
- Soki soba with the garlic-heavy broth
- Tebichi (pork trotter) soba
