Opyuu Shokudo

Opyuu Shokudo is the only restaurant on Ogami island, a minute's walk from the ferry landing, and it serves the island's dried octopus over rice.
Ogami's islanders are known for kaaki-dako, their dried octopus, and the order at Opyuu Shokudo is a rice bowl topped with it. The café opened in 2013 as the island's only restaurant and guesthouse, and reviewers from February to September 2026 found it open between boats. It sits a minute from the port, inside the small settlement where visitors may walk. Bring cash and keep to the village; most of the island beyond it is sacred and closed to outsiders.
What to order
- Kaaki-dako don, the island's dried octopus over rice
- Shaved ice while you wait for the boat
