The All Japan Triathlon Miyakojima is a 168.195 km race on Miyako-jima (3 km swim, 123 km bike, 42.195 km run) held each April; the 41st edition is on Sunday 25 April 2027, with entries open 1–31 October 2026 at ¥65,000.

The bike leg leaves Yonaha Maehama, loops about one and a half times around Miyako by way of the Ikema Bridge and Higashi-Hennazaki, and ends at the city athletics stadium. Cut-offs fall at 50 km (11:00), 68 km (12:00) and 94 km (12:45), with the bike course closing at 14:00 and the race at 20:00. The 2026 race, the 40th, started 1,369 athletes and saw 1,164 finish.
Entry for 2027 asks for a triathlon of 51.5 km or more finished in the previous three years, an age of 19 to 65 on race day and attendance at the race briefing, and the 1,550 places include 100 for Miyako and Tarama residents. Fifty more places go to people who make a ¥300,000 hometown-tax donation. Flights in race week can't always carry every bike, so the organisers recommend sending bikes by courier with time to spare, and anyone checking one in should do it at least an hour before departure.
