Japan Airlines flies Tokyo Haneda and Osaka Itami to Naha itself and sells JTA and RAC flights within Okinawa through its own booking system, and it carries a bicycle free inside its 20 kg domestic allowance.
JTA and RAC belong to the JAL group, and JAL's timetable and booking system cover all three airlines. In August 2026 JAL itself flew Haneda and Itami to Naha and Haneda to Ishigaki, Miyako and, in summer, Kume-jima, according to JTA's route report.
For a rider the JAL group rules are simple. The bike counts inside a 20 kg total allowance with no piece limit, and each kilogram over costs ¥440 for the whole journey. On the small turboprops to the outer islands JAL can't guarantee a bike box will fit.
