The rustic loaves use Kyushu wheat, and a March 2025 reviewer caught shikuwasa citrus running through one of them. The bakery shares its building with other uses and keeps a modest shelf, so plan on a loaf and a bun to go. It lies down a narrow lane near the Yaedake parking area, which puts it on the way up to the cherry trees during the festival from mid-January to early February.
What to order
- A dark whole-grain loaf for the road
- Anpan or apple-jam bread
Worth knowing
- The bakery's site advertises shikuwasa picking from 4 January (year not stated) at ¥2,000 a person for an hour; the listing says Saturdays and holidays even though the shop closes on Saturdays, so call 0980-47-5642 before going.
