Aka shares its boats with Zamami, and the village sells the same fares to either island. On the December 2026 and January 2027 timetables Ferry Zamami 3 lands at Aka first, at 11:30, and picks up for Naha at 14:30. The Queen Zamami 3 reaches Aka first on its afternoon run, 50 minutes out of Tomari. The Queen is in dock from 20 October to 3 December 2026.
Aka is also where Zamami Village's wind limits bite hardest. Ferry Zamami 3 doesn't leave Aka once the port wind reaches 7–8 m/s. The limit at Tomari and Zamami is 10 m/s. Geruma is bridged to Aka and has no port of its own on these routes, so riders for Geruma land at Aka.
