Kumejima Airport (UEO) is Kume-jima's airport, about 35 minutes from Naha on RAC and 40 on JTA, with six rental-car desks in the arrivals hall and a flight-timed town bus to the Eef Beach hotels in 38 minutes for ¥500.
Kume-jima's small terminal sits three minutes by car from Cypress Resort and ten from Kaneshiro port, where the ferries from Tomari dock. RAC flies most of the Naha service in about 35 minutes and JTA adds a flight in about 40, by the airport's figures and the October 2026 bus timetable's flight list. A summer-only route to Tokyo ran from 17 July to 31 August 2026.
Six rental companies have desks right in the arrivals hall, so you walk from the baggage belt to the car. The town bus leaves from the stop outside departures at times set around the flights and runs across the island to the Eef Beach hotels in 38 minutes for ¥500; it doesn't wait for a late plane. Taxis line up outside arrivals, and the airport puts the Eef Beach area at about ¥2,500 to ¥3,000.
There's a bike rack at the arrivals exit for standing a road bike while you sort yourself out, and the coin lockers run up to ¥600. The airport lists no counter for oversized bags, so plan to take a bike box with you to your hotel.
