Hotel Yugaf Inn sits in central Nago, close to the start. Leave at 9:30 and you reach Toguchi in time for Kishimoto Shokudo's 11:00 opening, with most of the climbing still ahead.
The afternoon is the better half, with the fukugi lanes at Bise and then the climb into the Nakijin hills to the castle on its ridge. Skip the aquarium on a ride day, since it deserves half a day of its own.
