Nest Hotel Naha Kumoji

Nest fitted out this Kumoji hotel in what it calls Okinawa Wood Style, with warm timber through the rooms and lobby. The 120 rooms come in eight types from 18 to 30 square metres, from doubles to a four-bed room. Jalan's 141 reviewers score the breakfast 4.7 out of 5, the best of their marks for the hotel. Miebashi Station is five minutes on foot and the airport about ten minutes by car.

The hotel has no pool. In February that costs you little, since the outdoor pools at the Hyatt, Collective and Strata are all closed until spring. Kokusai-dori and the Tomari ferry port are both an easy walk. Nest publishes nothing on bikes, so ask about storage before you book if you're carrying one.
