The Beach Tower Okinawa

The Beach Tower rises over Sunset Beach at the edge of American Village, and the hotel bills it as the tallest on Okinawa. Its 280 rooms include 84 Japanese-style ones, and the upper balconies look along the sunset coast. Next door, under red tiles and a white chimney, Terme Villa Chura-yu draws a natural hot spring from 1,400 metres down into open-air baths and a hot-spring healing pool. American Village is a short walk away.

In February the healing pool and the open-air baths stay open, and the shallow pool beside them closes from November to mid-March. From the airport the 120 route bus runs to the Mihama American Village Iriguchi stop, and the limousine takes about an hour. A paid drying room handles wet gear after a ride along the Chatan sea wall. Ask about storing a bike, since nothing is published.
