Hamaya Soba is the Okinawa soba shop on Chatan's Sunabe seafront, open 10:00 to 17:30 with a large Hamaya soba at ¥950. It seats 70 in a non-smoking room with wheelchair access.

Hamaya sits one street back from the Sunabe seawall, which makes it the obvious bowl after a morning dive or a ride up the coast. The house Hamaya soba comes large for ¥950 and the plain Okinawa soba for ¥1,050, and a side of juushii, the seasoned rice, costs ¥300. TripAdvisor gave it a certificate of excellence every year from 2014 to 2019, and Chatan's tourism association lists it with irregular days off.
