Oshokujidokoro Misaki is a mozuku soba and shaved-ice restaurant at the entrance to Akasaki beach in south-east Yoron, about 15 minutes by car from the airport, with summer queues out the door.
Misaki cooks Yoron's seaweed in every form the tourism association can list: cold zaru mozuku soba, mozuku porridge, mozuku cold chazuke and mozuku okra somen, plus ramen and a run of shaved ices with joke names. A summer 2024 reviewer queued 30 minutes in the sun, and a June 2025 visitor tried the zaru soba, which the shop pushes in hot weather. It sits at the turn for Akasaki beach and the folk village, a good pause on a loop of the island's south-east.
