Ryotei Naha

Ryotei Naha counts 65 years in business on its site, and its rooms seat anything from two guests to a banquet of 350. The house dancers perform about 25 minutes of Ryukyu dance and min'yo for a separate fee in private rooms as well as the big hall. Beforehand a nakai explains each piece and the folk-song lyrics so guests can sing along. The essayist Kohagura Hoko remembered Tsuji as the pleasure quarter where ryotei lined the street and music carried at night.

The ¥6,000 Wa-Ryu course runs to eleven dishes, among them rafute, spiny lobster grilled with sea urchin, gurukun under black-vinegar sauce, goya champuru and aasa seaweed soup, and it finishes with shell-ginger juushii rice and tapioca. The kitchen says it can adapt dishes for allergies. Awich and fellow rappers filmed the LONGINESS REMIX video in its rooms.
