Okinawan zenzai is a cold dessert of sweet simmered kintoki beans under shaved ice, and Sennichi has made it in Kume for decades. The shop sharpens the blade of its ice shaver often and uses hard ice, according to its Tabelog listing, which is how a heap about 25 cm tall melts like powder on the tongue. Milk kintoki adds condensed milk and cost ¥650 in July 2026, and a coffee was ¥250 two months later. Okinawa soba is on the menu too if you want something savoury first.
Winter hours end an hour earlier, at 19:00. There is no parking, so come on foot from Asahibashi or Kenchomae station.
What to order
- Milk kintoki zenzai
- Plain Okinawa zenzai
