Shisa-ya is a 50-seat Okinawan and Yoron izakaya at the entrance to Chabana's Ginza-dori that stocks about 500 kinds of island spirits and awamori.
Shisa-ya opened on Yoron in 2016 and sits in the most prominent spot on Ginza-dori, which means more visitors than locals by a March 2026 reviewer's account. The tourism association lists goya chips, liver sashimi, local chicken nigiri, a Yoron mozuku rice bowl, Yoron beef steak and island tuna carpaccio. The drinks list is the draw: around 500 island spirits and awamori. Book for a summer night.
