Restaurant Tara is the restaurant of the Yoron-to Village hotel on the hill north of Chabana that serves Amami keihan chicken rice at lunch four days a week and reservation-only island dinners.

Tara takes its name from the hotel founder's family house name, an old Yoron custom of yaana names, and cooks original dishes on a base of island home cooking. At lunch the house suggests keihan, which in Amami means rice topped with chicken and broth, and Tabelog reviewers from 2023 to June 2025 came for exactly that. Dinner needs a booking, and lunch is only on Wednesday to Saturday.
