Kuroshima is flat, with its highest ground at 15.3 m, and our loop climbs 19 m in 9.9 km, so any rental bike will do. The island has more cattle than its 221 people and very few places to eat, so plan lunch or bring a picnic from town.
The half-day fits between boats. Check the tide for Nakamoto Beach before you book, and in February ride the loop counter-clockwise, as our route data suggests, to finish with the wind behind you.
