Haimurubushi is a 156-room beach resort on Kohama that reopened after renovation on 15 July 2025, and its February 2027 plans included a rental cart from ¥39,000 for two.
Haimurubushi means Southern Cross in the Yaeyama language, and the resort reopened on 15 July 2025 after a renovation that added Oceanfront Pool Villas. Its 156 rooms are all twins of 47–86 m². The private beach has a Beach Terrace and the Umi Café, and the large bath looks west to the sunset over Iriomote. Three restaurants cover buffet, barbecue, hot pot and set courses.
The February 2027 Jalan plans include a rental cart for getting round Kohama, and bicycles rent for a fee. A free bus meets the boats at Kohama port, about five minutes away. For 15 February 2027 Jalan listed the regular breakfast plan at ¥39,000 for two. Check the last boat back from Ishigaki before you travel.
