Okinawa Kariyushi Beach Resort Ocean Spa

Kariyushi spreads across 80,000 tsubo, about 26 hectares, on a rise above Route 58 in northern Onna, with indoor and outdoor pools and a spa called Umi no Yu, and a patch of woodland on the grounds goes by Kariyushi no Mori. Its 500 rooms include universal-design rooms and a refitted second floor in the Ocean Tower. Of the big Onna resorts sampled for February 2027, it came in cheapest at under ¥20,000 for two on Jalan. Pets can stay for a fee.

In February swim in the indoor pool and soak in Umi no Yu, which the hotel has been opening for longer hours. The outdoor garden pool slopes gently to about a metre, good for small children in warm weather. Parking is ¥500 a night. The resort is on a hill, so a ride up Route 58 to the Busena cape finishes with a climb back to the lobby.
