Ikei Beach is the paid, privately run beach on Ikei-jima at the far end of the Kaichu Doro island road, and a day visit costs ¥400 for adults. It runs marine sports and BBQs, and it posts each day's opening on its website because storms and typhoon debris can close it.

Ikei Beach sits on the west coast of the last island on the road, below the gusuku hill. A local company runs it and charges for day entry and overnight camping, and the fee covers a cleaned beach and a car park for 300; boat rides and water sports cost extra. Uruma's tourism association praises the clear water and warns in the same breath that the currents around Ikei run fast.
The operator keeps its website up to date: in late August 2026 it shut for a day to clear seaweed and driftwood after a typhoon, and on 7 September it opened late and offered swimming only while the wind blew. That makes it worth checking the site or the beach's Instagram before the ride out.
