Shima Parlor is a snack stand and island information point in Higa village on Hamahiga-jima, open 11:00 to 17:00 with 50 parking spaces. It sells pork-tamago rice balls and, in winter only, a mozuku clam chowder, and it closes on Wednesdays and the second and fourth Thursdays.
The stand sells amulets of shell and salt made on the island, each for a wish such as good health or children, alongside light food. In winter the menu adds a clam chowder with Hamahiga mozuku, and in season there is Okinawan zenzai with nantuu rice cake. Staff hand out tourist information for the island too.
