Chatan Park Sunset Beach is the managed town beach beside American Village in Chatan, with lifesavers on duty and a beach building of showers and lockers from 10 April to 30 November in 2026. It takes its name from the sunsets over the East China Sea.
Chatan has improved the sand at Sunset Beach, and it now runs right up to the edge of American Village, so a swim fits between shopping and dinner. The management building holds showers and lockers, and Island Paddler's sells mojitos on the beach. Its season runs a month longer than Araha's, into November.
The beach starts the seafront promenade that runs north past Depot Island to the marina, and on Saturday nights the fireworks go up just offshore.
