Uppama Beach on Nakijin's north coast is a white-sand beach about 1 km long with a jellyfish net and lifeguards from April to September.

Uppama means big beach in Okinawan, and at about 1 km it is one of the longest stretches of sand on the main island. The Nakijin Tourism Association lists a habu-kurage net and lifeguards from April to September, 9:00–18:00. The Hotel Bell Paraiso next door runs dragon boats and jet skis for anyone who wants to get out on the water.
