The Ishigaki City Public Market in the middle of Euglena Mall has fed the town since 1899, with fish, meat, kamaboko and fruit downstairs and an eat-in space added when it reopened on 18 May 2021.

Twenty-three shops fill the market. Butchers and fishmongers work the ground floor next to kamaboko makers and fruit stalls. You can eat what you buy at the tables, and Ichiba Shokudo cooks soba. Hitokuchi-tei pairs moromi pork and Ishigaki beef with an awamori tasting set. The second-floor specialty-products centre announced a temporary closure for a refit in September 2026.
