Shikoya serves the villages at the western end of the island, and in the evening it turns into a karaoke izakaya with tatami seating that stays open until 23:00. Lunch costs under ¥1,000 and centres on Yaeyama soba, and a July 2025 reviewer notes plain toppings. A September 2026 reviewer who had been fishing brought the catch in for the kitchen to cook on three visits, so ask if you land something. Bring cash.
What to order
- Yaeyama soba at lunch
- Your own catch, which the kitchen will cook if you bring it in
