Yoron is the southernmost of the Amami islands in Kagoshima Prefecture, and RAC flies to it from Naha every day in about 40 minutes, the Yoron tourism association says. JAL flights operated by Japan Air Commuter run to Kagoshima, according to Wikipedia's 2022 route list. Kagoshima Prefecture runs the airport, which has a 1,200 m runway on the island's western tip.
Arriving takes some planning. The tourism association says no bus or taxi serves the airport or the ferry port, and Minami Taxi has two cars on the road.
