OTS cars wait at the Rinku-Toyosaki office, and a free shuttle takes about 15 minutes to get there from Naha Airport. It is a big lot where 100 cars can leave at once, with practice stations where staff show you the navigation. Every car has navigation with English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese voice guidance, and OTS recommends searching by map code, the numeric location codes it hands out. A second office on the second floor of the DFS T Galleria at Omoromachi sits beside the Yui Rail station, handy for returning the car before a monorail ride to the airport.
OTS is strict on licences. It accepts only International Driving Permits issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, and the permit must come from the same country as your home licence, so a Canadian licence needs the Canadian IDP from CAA. Child seats and Wi-Fi routers are available to rent, and one-way returns to another OTS office are allowed, with a fee on some plans.
