Ryukyu Onsen Senagajima Hotel

Senaga-jima is a small island tied to the coast by a causeway beside Naha Airport, and the hotel calls itself the closest hot-spring resort to the airport. The water for Ryujin no Yu comes up from 1,000 metres underground, and the standing bath faces the second runway that opened in March 2020, so you soak while the jets come and go. Some of the 100 rooms have their own open-air baths. Umikaji Terrace opened next door in August 2015, and its white shops and cafés step down the slope toward the sea.

Guests swim free in the infinity pool from April to October, and in February the onsen carries the stay. The route bus from the airport stops at the hotel door, and an airport limousine runs on weekends and holidays. Riders can make the transfer from the terminal on the bike itself. Ask the hotel what to do with the bike box, since it publishes nothing on storage.
