The Uza Terrace Beach Club Villas

The Terrace Hotels group built Uza as an all-villa resort on the Yomitan coast just south of Cape Zanpa, with 48 villas from one-bedroom club pool villas up to the presidential villa. Every one has its own pool. The kitchen draws on the hotel's farm across from the main gate, where staff grow Okinawan fruit, vegetables, herbs and even wheat, and guests can ask to look round between 9:00 and 16:00.

Winter is the season to check your villa's pool, since some are heated from 1 October to 15 May and others run at the natural temperature. The shared pool at the reception house closes from November to March. For riders the butler desk takes a box sent ahead, and a villa with its own door makes the bike easier to keep; ask the butlers when you book. The road out to Cape Zanpa's lighthouse starts close to the gate.
