Aharen is the beach village that wraps round Aharen Beach on Tokashiki-jima's south-west coast, and the island bus covers the 5 km from Tokashiki Port; a handful of its kitchens stayed open through February 2026.

Aharen packs its houses and restaurants into the lanes behind 800 m of white sand, and the island bus runs here from the port in time with the boats. Zamami Village's Mitsushima also lands at Aharen Port on reservation, which makes it the link between the two Kerama villages.
In winter the village slows down, and dated reviews still show Shokudo Sachi, Shuraku Ahari and Izakaya Maruni all serving in February 2026. For dinner the rest of the year, book Cafe Shimamun+ or Maruni ahead.
