The sand runs for about 800 m down Sesoko's west coast, and on a clear afternoon you look straight out at Ie-jima and Minna. Locals also call it Kunri-hama. Mori Trust runs the beach beside the Hilton Okinawa Sesoko Resort, which opened in 2020, and the facilities carry resort prices.
Snorkel sets rent for ¥1,500 and the marked swim area gives children room to paddle. A bike parks free in its own area during swimming hours, which makes the beach a good swim stop on a Motobu loop. The season opened early in 2026, on 7 March, so a late-winter visit may find the lifeguards back on duty.
Before you swim
- Swim only inside the marked area, about 120 m wide and 80 m deep, where the lifeguards watch
December to March
The 2026 season ran from 7 March to 30 November, so the lifeguards and rentals take a break from December through February. The beach faces west across to Ie-jima, which keeps it out of the worst of the north-east winter wind.
