Taco rice was born in 1984 at Parlor Senri in Kin's Shinkaichi bar district, when its owner put taco fillings on rice as a cheap, filling meal for Marines, and King Tacos is the chain that spread it around the island. The Kiyuna branch opened on 22 February 2024, and Tabelog reviews from 2025 and 2026 show it busy at lunch. Reviewers say the turn-in from the road is easy to miss.
