The Moon Beach Museum Resort

Hotel Moon Beach opened in 1975 on a crescent of natural sand in Maekaneku, Onna, and now trades as The Moon Beach Museum Resort, with 1975–2026 and the word timeless on its home page. The hotel describes the building itself as a museum, and its atrium hangs with curtains of pothos vines. Rooms are being refitted in turn. Corallo serves all day and looks out over the bay, and the airport is about 45 minutes by car via Ishikawa IC.

Guests swim free in the indoor pool, and the lagoon pool sits in front of the beach. The hotel gives no winter schedule for the lagoon. Tennis and canoeing run from the hotel. A paid drying room deals with wet kit. Route 58 runs past the gate, and riders head north along it to Maeda and Manza.
