Oganeku runs for about 2 km along the east coast, and the water stays shallow far out towards the reef, which gives the bay its pale green colour on a sunny day. In summer the marine shops set up on the sand, and glass-bottom boats and jet boats run out to Yurigahama and the snorkel spots. Showers, toilets, a campsite and souvenir stalls sit behind the beach.
The island name is Ufuganiku or Naaganiku. Muuru Cafe, opened in 2025 near the boat departures, is the place for lunch.
