Hama-no-Ya calls itself the original Okinawan sea café, a small hand-built place on a stacked stone wall right above the sand. The windows open wide to let the sea breeze in, and there are more seats on the roof and down on the beach. The menu was refreshed when the café reopened after a renovation on 1 June 2025, mixing older dishes with new ones.
Opening at 8:00 makes it an early coffee and breakfast stop for riders on the Route 331 coast. Yamano Chaya Rakusui, its sister café, sits up the hill behind, and Mibaru Beach is about half a kilometre east.
What to order
- Coffee or breakfast by the open windows
Worth knowing
