Wakana Soba is a Yonaguni soba shop near Higawa on the island's south side, about ten minutes by car from the airport, and it serves pork-bone soba from 11:30 until it sells out, except on Tuesdays.

Wakana Soba raises its own pigs for the long-simmered pork-bone broth and the sanmai-niku on top, and buys its noodles from Maemori Soba, the island's only noodle maker, according to the tourism association. The menu is soba and nothing else, in three sizes, by one reviewer's count. Look for the banner flag outside to know it is open, and come early, because it shuts when the soup runs out. Tabelog reviews from January and April 2025 confirm it is still going.
