Maruhachi stands in the middle of the village at 523 Taketomi, five minutes by car or fifteen on foot from the port, and its van waits for renters off the ferries from the 8:30 Ishigaki departure. Between two and four hours you can return in 30-minute steps, and the bike has to be back by 17:00.
The shop has no phone and takes no bookings, so just turn up. It closes on days when the community hall holds island events, and the Taketomi tourism association can tell you which days those are.
