Hanagasa Shokudo sits down a lane off the covered Heiwa-dori market street in Makishi, and the system is old-school. Pick a main such as fu champuru or tebichi nitsuke, then choose one of three rices and one of five soups, which can mean brown rice with inamuruchi or curry rice with a bowl of Okinawa soba. A small zenzai comes with the set, and a sweet iced tea stands in for water. Tabelog reviewers in 2026 found the goya champuru almost free of bitterness and the portions big enough to skip breakfast.
The doors open for lunch only, 11:00 to 14:00, and the 50 seats turn over quickly. Bring cash.
What to order
- Fu champuru set with brown rice and inamuruchi soup
