Seikatsu no Gara

Seikatsu no Gara is a tiny counter bar about 150 m from Yui Rail Asato Station inside Naha's Sakaemachi Market that opens 18:00–01:00 except Tuesdays. The owner decides what to cook that night, and the bar takes no cards and allows smoking.

A Tabelog reviewer counted seven or eight stools at the counter, and a staircase as steep as an attic ladder climbs to the upstairs room and the toilet. One visitor heard smooth jazz in 2013. Another, in October 2024, found a rock mood and no food menu, so ate whatever the owner suggested and loved all of it.
Come after dinner at Urizun or a plate of gyoza at Benriya, and keep it to a drink or two. Smoking is allowed inside, and in a room this small you will notice.
