Urizun is a 110-seat Okinawan izakaya about 100 m from Yui Rail Asato Station at the edge of Sakaemachi Market, and it has served home cooking and Ryukyu court dishes since 1972. Mapple says it stocks awamori from every distillery in the prefecture plus house kusu that it ages for eight years or more in clay jars.

Urizun opened in August 1972 and runs from a farmhouse-style building with about ten counter seats among its 110 and more tatami seating upstairs. Its menu moves from home cooking such as rafute and goya champuru to court dishes like minudaru. That one is pork loin steamed under black-sesame paste. Start with the duruten. The restaurant says it created these deep-fried cakes of duru-wakashi (taro mashed with pork), and Mapple listed them at ¥713 in March 2025.
Leave room for kusu. Mapple's 2025 listing priced the 30-degree house kusu aged 12 years at ¥1,604 and everyday awamori such as Mizuho and Masahiro at ¥951. A Tabelog reviewer who came with five friends in September 2026 drank awamori from a karakara jug topped up with soda. That mix is an easy first step for anyone new to the spirit. The lanes of Sakaemachi Market start a few steps from the door if the night needs a second stop.
