Suzuran Shokudo on the main street between Ie Port and the village office fills with islanders by noon and serves lunch 11:00–15:00 except Mondays.

A February 2026 reviewer watched locals fill all three tatami rooms and five tables before noon. The miso soup set came with what looked like a whole block of island tofu. Portions run large and the prices stay low. A July 2026 visitor came for the everyday island feel and ordered three different set meals. Off the morning ferry, it is the first lunch stop up the road from the port.
